DeLancey, James
(27 nov. 1703, Nueva York, N.Y., EE.UU.–30 jul. 1760, ciudad de Nueva York).

Administrador y jurista estadounidense. Asistió a Cambridge y luego estudió derecho en Londres. Al regresar a Nueva York, en 1729 se incorporó al consejo del gobernador y en 1731 fue juez de la corte suprema de la colonia. Como presidente de la corte suprema (1733), presidió el juicio por difamación de John Peter Zenger. Se opuso al gobernador de la Corona, George Clinton, y aprovechó su influencia en Inglaterra para conseguir el retiro de Clinton en 1753. Luego se desempeñó como vicegobernador (1753–55, 1757–60).
